Streatham Leisure Centre
Working as a consultant to the London of Lambeth, De Vos Consultancy Ltd was asked to inspect the barrel vaulted pool hall ceiling to Streatham Leisure Centre, following reports of a partial collapse of a section of decorative cove onto the poolside.
Following a high level inspection of the structural vault ribs, it was evident that there was some detachment, and the pool was closed.
The closure of the pool permitted a full and detailed inspection of the leisure centre, which ultimately resulted in the permanent closure of the facility, and the current reprovision.
